Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants should:

  • understand how informatics can assist perioperative decision making
  • describe contemporary methods of effective perioperative fluid optimization
  • be familiar with the most current theories of how anesthetic drugs alter consciousness
  • discuss some of the new insights in intraoperative awareness
  • have a clear understanding of how advocacy is important in improving the specialty of anesthesia and keeping anesthesia as safe a possible for our patients
