Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants should:

  • Understand the Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of methadone; the side effects and interactions of Methadone; and be able to convert Methadone to morphine equivalent
  • Understand disruptive behaviors and strategies for dealing with disruptive providers and providing an emphasis on professionalism.  
  • Understand the relationship between quality measurement, measure definition, outcome, and reimbursement with attention to the AQI QCDR framework
  • Have an advanced understanding of anesthetic considerations for emergency cases of ischemic stroke when encountered in patients
  • Have a clear understanding of the rationale, benefits and requirements of the MOCA process
  • Be familiar with best-practices in intraoperative anesthetic management of complex neurosurgical patients; and understand the appropriate application of neurosurgical monitoring and facilitation of neuromonitoring modalities by anesthetic agents.

Directions

The Royal Park Hotel is located in downtown Rochester, approximately 60 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport.

From the North: Take I-75 South to I-75 BUS S/Lapeer Road (Exit 81). Slight left onto N. Opdyke Rd, left on E Walton Blvd. Continue onto University Dr. and the hotel will be on the right. 

From the South/DTW: Take I-94 E to I-75 N (Exit 216A). Take Exit 67 for Rochester Rd. and turn right. Turn right on E 2nd St. then left on Elizabeth St. Turn left onto E University Drive and the hotel will be on the left. 

From the West: Follow I-69 E to I-75 S to Lapeer Rd in Auburn Hills (Exit 81). Slight left onto N. Opdyke Rd, left on E Walton Blvd. Continue onto University Dr. and the hotel will be on the right.
